Gold medal for the best table

On 20 October 2008 the Norwegian Culinary Team and Scandinavian Design Group won first place in the cold platter category at the Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany.

We spent many months working together with the chefs to create and perfect the winning table setting. Our design consisted of a centrepiece made from fresh cushion moss, mushrooms, wood and berries, a photograph of a beautiful autumn sky, sound recordings from Norwegian nature and a light design. Together these elements combined to create a vivid autumnal feel which provided the perfect backdrop for the chefs’ culinary art − a feast for the eyes worthy of a gold medal!

This is not the first time that we have taken on such an extraordinary challenge
− we also helped the team become world champions in 2006.
